IRC is Internet Relay Chat, a way of instantly sending messages and receiving responses from other Internet users! First you download IRC software, install it, set up your nickname, and then...off you go!
TMNT people have created a multitude of chat rooms (#tmntCouples, #tmnt_asylum, #teenagemutantninjaturtles, #Vam_Mi) but the MAJOR traffic center for TMNT IRCers is #tmnt. #tmnt is where we can hang out and goof off. There is also #tmntrpg, for playing TMNT role-playing games online! (I believe #tmnt2 was created as an alternate TMNT chat room.) And quite a community had sprung up in #tmnt_mm, but they seem to have switched leadership and moved somewhere else...Sorry I don't know all the details...

I don't hang out on IRC as much any more, for reasons I don't care to explain. But you can still check it out.
