Just what are we up to?

Hey! Look, I updated THIS page!

Wow, it's been a while. Well, the first order of the day is that I added some piccies for those of you who have waited so long to look at my sorry mug. These pics are actually not terrible! Wow! So here they are, for your viewing pleasure. These were taken at Penn State's homecoming parade, which the Monty Python Society gathers at every year in order to mock the precious traditions the community cherishes. (Go here to view the other photographs taken at the parade, and discover the truth behind my obsession with both Monty Python and the TMNT- I have a pathological fear of normal people.)

This is the better of the two photos. I don't care if it looks dumb, my jester hat kicks ass. So there!
This is me in my jester hat, and two of the few shirts I had remaining in my closet that weekend. I am of the "do the laundry when you run out of clothes and not before" school of thought.

I look a little more dumb in this photo, but it's still ok. Here I am holding the MPS sign. Whee.
And here I am with the MPS sign. :)

Well this page has seen better days. I've been rather busy with...stuff. And things. And other things. Like college for example, which I am just about finished with the third semester of, and I can't wait. I still have no idea what the hell I want to do with my life, but whatever it is, I'm hurtling toward it at a rapid speed.

I've sort of dropped out of karate, I'm not sure why. I might go back next semester, we'll see. I'm in the MPS, which is my major source of recreation, and I also discovered Webster's, a cool used bookshop/coffeeshop that hosts poetry reading and folk music. :) I plan to spend more time there in the future. They have excellent hot chocolate, and a rather nice sci-fi section.

Ummm...what else is new...I'm about to turn 19. :D Yay, me! *eyes her presents and waits impatiently for her birthday to come* Want toyyysssss! Speaking of which, I bought the TMNT rpg on ebay and it is muy cool. So I'm trying to get some people together to play it.

And on the topic of people getting together, I will probably not be able to make either TurtleCon or San D this year. :( I was hoping for San D, at least. But TCon presents all the problems of last year (transportation and companionship) plus a new problem: money. Which brings me to San D. I need a fulltime job this summer, and I will probably need several other weekends off, which means I don't know if I will have either money or time to do San D. I will get there one day, but probably not this year. :( I'm shooting for EveCon, which is a small local con near Frederick, Maryland, which is the place I call home. It's cheap and if I can find someone to bunk with, I can afford it. Nothing like TCon or San D, but it looks like EveCon's the best I can do to satisfy my convention-lust this upcoming year.

I've also been avoiding work on my fanfics (naughty me), though I'm not sure why. I have a new project, a web page mocking letters to the editor in my school paper, which I update when I feel like it. Other than the usual worries over classes and exams, that's about all that's up with me right now.

Oh, and I am a member of the Jedi Turtles team. I am Krang the Hut. Heh heh heh. I'm also supposed to be writing a chapter right now...Eek.
